Dr Faisal Siddiqui

Dr Siddiqui is one of the Doctors&Co. highly qualified and experienced medical professionals, currently exercising his wide range of skills at our Cranbourne West Medical Centre.

Growing up in West Africa and working there as well as in Asia and the United Kingdom, Dr Siddiqui completed his General Specialisation at the General College of Royal Practitioners in the UK, as well as a Masters in Public Health. He worked for the UK National Institute of Health and Care Institute and published four clinical guidelines.

Now settled in Australia with his family, Dr Siddiqui is a valued member of the Doctors&Co. team. With skills and experience in many aspects of general practice, he has a particular interest in diabetes, paediatrics, psychiatry, and sexual and reproductive health (including contraception and implants).

Dr Siddiqui is also experienced with WorkCover, Transport Accident Commission and Centrelink claims, and can assist patients with the burden of paperwork. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Practitioners, and holds the role of Examiner.

Examiners are critical in the assessment of GPs in Australia, and they represent excellence in general practice. This role also ensures that Dr Siddiqui is at the cutting edge of current and best practice medical knowledge.

Dr Siddiqui’s experience dealing with patients from different countries and backgrounds makes him an exceptional, understanding and compassionate general practitioner. When not devoting time to caring for patients, he enjoys spending time with his young family.

As well as quality family time he enjoys sports such as cricket and badminton, and despite being happily settled in Australia a part of his heart remains in the UK with his favourite football club Manchester United!

Dr Abdul Basit

Dr Abdul Basit graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery, and began his journey as a Medical Practitioner in Australia in 2009, and has been working as a GP for 10 years. From working at Royal Hobart Hospital to Lyell McEvin Hospital in Adelaide, and eventually working as a VMO in Rural Victoria (Kyabram & Shepparton), Dr Abdul Basit eventually settled in Victoria, and successfully obtained his Fellowship with the RACGP in 2018, and has been working in Victoria as a Full-time GP since.

His passion is Family Medicine and has a special interest in Women’s health, Children’s health, Care of Elderly, chronic disease management including diabetes, hypertension, asthma & emphysema.

Dr Abdul Basit also has a particular focus on preventative medicine, lifestyle medicine, health assessments, heart health checks & care plans to help patients manage their chronic conditions more effectively.

He thoroughly enjoys having walks in nature! Dr Abdul Basit speaks the following languages: Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu.

Dr Roshini Gannoruwa

Dr Roshini Gannoruwa completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 2006 in Sri Lanka and began her journey as a Medical Practitioner in Australia in 2012. She has spent six years working at various hospitals throughout Victoria and NSW including Peninsula Health and Austin Hospital in Internal Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Psychiatry, Geriatrics and Emergency Medicine.

Dr Roshini trained as a rural GP and obtained her fellowship in Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She has completed the Certificate course of Child Health by The University of Sydney. She enjoys all areas of General Practice and has special interests in Prevention and Lifestyle Medicine, Family Medicine, Women’s Health and caring for children through to elderly. She is accredited for insertion and removals of subdermal implants.

She enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and travelling.

Dr Gannoruwa will be transitioning to Mixed Billing from 12th March 2024.  Bulk Billing will be available for children <18 years old, and healthcare card/pension card concession holders.

Dr Fariha Irshad

Dr Fariha Irshad – FRACGP and DRANZCOG Adv GP Obstetrics/Gynae expertise and special interests in Women’s Health accredited by Monash Health and Peninsula Health for shared care and she speaks three different languages besides English.

She has a particular interest in women’s health sexual health, General Family Medicine, obstetrics & gynaecology, and aesthetic fillers and anti-wrinkle treatment.

Dr Fariha Irshad’s qualifications are as follows:

  • Advanced Diploma of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners

Dr. Dipankar Chakraborty

Dr Chakraborty is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), affirming his status as a provider of high quality, safe and competent general practice services.
Completing additional education and training in skin cancer management and attained professional and advanced certificates in skin cancer medicine and complex skin cancer surgery. He provides comprehensive skin assessments which includes diagnosis, biopsy and excisions with experience in flaps and grafts. He also treats patients with various other skin ailments.

Dr Chakraborty is the lead skin doctor at Aurora Skin Clinic in Wangaratta and offers rural skin cancer treatments throughout Victoria and teaches registrars/students on skin cancer medicine and surgery.

Dr Chakraborty is dedicated to skin cancer management and strongly feels that no patient should ever die of skin cancer.

Dr Yasmin Kazi

MBBS, DCH (SYD), FRACGP

Additional Languages Spoken: Bangla, Hindi, Urdu and Limited Punjabi.

Special Interests: Paediatrics, Women’s Health, Family Planning, Mental Health, STI Screening, Chronic Disease management.

Performed Procedures: Implanon insertion and removal, Mirena Removal, Chronic mixed management: Chronic Hypertension, Obesity, Diabetes.

Dr Kazi obtained her GP Fellowship from the Royal College of General Practices (FRACGP) in 2020, obtained a Diploma in Child Heath (DCH) at Sydney University, 2018 and obtained her Diploma in Community Welfare services, 2010.

Dr Kazi has lived in Australia the past 14 years and recently moved from Mildura where she practiced as a GP for 7 and a 1/2 years.

Dr Kazi is very family orientated, mother of two beautiful daughters and loves spending time with family. Dr Kazi’s hobbies include music, travelling, reading, designing, cooking different culinary cuisines.

Dr Kazi has a very friendly, soft and calm nature, has the ability to listen to you with empathy, she is a very caring person offering all of her patients continuity of care. Dr Kazi looks forward to looking after you and your family.
